Bethesda Inc. Adds Director of Grants and Evaluation

Jennifer ZimmermanBethesda Inc., a major funder of health care transformation and co-sponsor of TriHealth, today announced Jennifer Zimmerman has joined Bethesda Inc. as Director of Grants and Evaluation.

In this new role, Zimmerman is responsible for developing, managing and evaluating Bethesda Inc.’s growing portfolio of planning and large, multi-year grants and initiatives. Bethesda Inc. grant commitments over the past five years have totaled more than $29 million, ranking it among Ohio’s largest grant-makers for local health care initiatives.

Jennifer will guide grantees through the entire grant application process; develop, implement and monitor grants; assess the effectiveness of Bethesda Inc.’s grant making activities; and serve as one of the main liaisons with the nonprofit community, among other duties.

Jennifer has a wealth of experience developing, designing and executing nonprofit and philanthropic grant and evaluation programs. As principal of JCZ Consulting, Jennifer worked with many of the region’s best-known, most-respected non-profit organizations to lead professional development programs, enhance strategic funding, design and implement evaluations of programs, and facilitate a collaborative focused on improving children’s social and emotional health. She previously served as director of evaluation and advocacy initiatives for Children, Inc.

Jennifer earned a bachelor of arts in social work and public administration from Miami University and a master of social work in social and economic development and management from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University.
